List Building is Key
Anyone interested in internet marketing must build a list. What is a list, one may ask? In the online marketing arena, “the list” refers to a list of loyal subscribers to your newsletter or ezine that contain valuable information and or product news for the subscriber.
Once you have a list of interested subscribers, you want them to become trusting potential customers you can send emails with a soft sell pitch for your products and services. Good information will be valued by the readers and may help to persuade them to try your products and services. These emails or newsletters should contain a wealth of valuable information and not always trying to sell a product or service. In some cases, you may occasionally offer free useful ebooks, reports or software to your subscribers as an appreciation gift. There are instructional emails you can send, such as an e-course, that your subscribers may find quite helpful and educational. Additional information in the emails you may want to include are useful links to either your website as well as other websites which may be of interest to your readers. Your content should also contain a portion which urges the reader to take a specific action such as making a purchase, joining a service you recommend or something that presents value to the reader.
Not all lists are created equal. Some people obtain lists by purchasing a list from a company and others compile their lists with offers of products and services.
